Best time to visit: In general, the high season is between December and April, the weather is the hottest and humidity at its lowest. During these months you can also expect minimal rainfall and low winds.
Currency: Maldives Rufiyaa (MVR) although the US Dollar (USD), 1 USD = 15,42 MVR, is the primary currency in the resorts, shops, restaurants, markets. All major credit/debit cards are accepted everywhere, but processing fee of 4% will be added in the bill.
Taxes: A 16% TGST will be added to any service you utilize in the Maldives. A 10% service charge is generally added at Maldives resorts, diving and water sport centers.
